Welcome to MailsDrop. Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy governs how the MailsDrop Team ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and handles your information when you use our temporary email service.
1. Free Temporary Inboxes
The free temporary inbox is designed to minimize data collection:
- No Message Storage: Messages sent to a free temporary address are delivered to your open browser session in real time and are not saved to our database. When you close the tab or delete the inbox session, those messages cannot be recovered.
- No Registration: We do not ask for your name, phone number, address, or real email address to use a free inbox.
- Aggregate Statistics: We count how many messages each of our domains receives per day. These counts do not include message content, senders, or recipient addresses.
2. Premium Mailboxes
Premium mailboxes work differently because they are designed for longer-term use:
- Telegram Sign-In: When you sign in with Telegram, we receive and store your Telegram user ID, display name, profile photo URL, and language setting to create and identify your account.
- Stored Messages: Messages received by your premium addresses (sender, subject, and message body) are stored in our database so you can read them later. They remain stored until you delete the mailbox or your account.
- Payments: Premium access is paid through Telegram Stars or a cryptocurrency payment provider. We store your premium expiry date but do not receive or store card details.
- Notifications: New message alerts for premium mailboxes are sent to you through Telegram.
- API Keys: If you create API keys for the developer API or MCP server, we store a hashed copy of each key, its name, and when it was last used. Requests made with a key are subject to the same data handling as the dashboard.
To delete stored premium messages or your account, delete the mailbox from your dashboard or contact us through the Contact Us page.
3. Information We Automatically Collect
We collect technical metadata needed for the core functionality and security of the website:
- Server Logs: Like all web services, our servers may temporarily log your IP address, browser type, and time of access for anti-abuse and security monitoring.
- WebSockets: Active sessions temporarily map your unique token to your IP address to deliver real-time messages. This link is destroyed immediately when you disconnect.
- Contact Form: If you contact us, we keep your name, email address, and message so we can respond.
4. Third-Party Analytics and Advertising
To keep MailsDrop free, we utilize third-party services that may use cookies or similar tracking technologies:
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand website traffic and usage. It collects anonymized demographic and interaction data.
- Advertising Partners: We display ads from networks like Google AdSense. These networks use cookies to serve personalized ads based on your prior visits to our website or other sites on the internet.
You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings or opt-out of personalized advertising via the Google Ads Settings page.
5. Age Restrictions
Our service is strictly for individuals who are 16 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, we take steps to securely delete such information immediately.
